Ode de Kort onderzoekt het kantelpunt tussen sculptuur en fotografie. Dit uit zich in een zoektocht naar de grenzen van het fotografische medium. In haar onderzoek probeert ze een ontmoeting te scheppen tussen object, beeld en moment door middel van gevonden materialen in de natuur of op straat. Materialen tasten elkaars mogelijkheden en limieten af, waardoor gewicht, grootte en vorm met elkaar in dialoog gaan. Hun aantrekkingskracht komt voort uit het feit dat ze eerder verwijzen naar hun materie en vorm dan hun context of opzet. de Kort's beelden ontstaan snel en intuïtief, als een vertaling van het moment.

Ode de Kort behaalde in 2015 haar Masterdiploma Fotografie aan de Koninklijke Academie voor Schone Kunsten te Gent, België. Haar werk is gepresenteerd in groepstentoonstellingen als The Camera's Blind Spot II, in Extra City Kunsthal, Antwerpen, België en Aperto, Fondazione Antonio Ratti, Como, Italië.

Ode de Kort examines the tipping point between the photographical and the sculptural, expressing a continuous quest for stretching the photographic medium across its fixed four corners and sides, and to study the photographical image as matter/material. In her research she selects basic materials which she finds in nature or on the street and attempts to arrange a meeting between object, image, moment and balance. Their attraction derives from the fact that they rather refer to their own matter and shape than to their context or intent. de Kort's images originate quickly and intuitively, they are translations of the moment.

Ode de Kort(1992 °) obtained in 2015 her Master's Degree in Photography at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Ghent, Belgium. Her work has been presented in­group exhibitions as The Camera's Blind Spot II, in Extra City Kunsthall, Antwerp, Belgium and Aperto, Fondazione Antonio Ratti, Como. Ode de Kort currently lives and works in Antwerp, Belgium.
